Day-1 Arrive Ahmedabad

The first day of your exciting Gujarat holiday tour starts with arrival at Ahmedabad, where you’ll meet a representative and get transferred to the hotel. Get ready for a half-day city tour in the afternoon. You will be visiting the Swaminarayan Temple, the Baolis (Step-wells), Hathi Singh Temple, the Kite Museum, and the famous Sabarmati Ashram – where Gandhiji had lived during the freedom struggle. Spend the evening at leisure and enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day-2 Ahmedabad – Junagarh

On the second day of your Gujarat tour, you’ll be driven to Junagadh (about 342 kms / 7.5 hrs) after breakfast. This city is located at the foot of Girnar Hills and serves as a departure point for visiting Gir Forest. Check-in to hotel on your arrival at Junagadh. Start for a half day city tour in the afternoon, during which you’ll be visiting Uparkot Fort, which is said to have survived about 16 sieges over a period of 800 years. You’ll get to explore a number of archaeological sites inside the fort, such as Jama Masjid, the tomb of Nuri Shah and two fine step-wells known as Adi Kadi Vav and Navghan Kuva. You can also explore Ashoka’s rock Edicts – 14 edicts which are located on the way to the Girnar Hill temples. Spend the evening as you desire and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day-3 Junagarh – Somnath

Have a hearty breakfast and leave for Somnath (90-km / 3 hr drive), where you’ll be exploring the historic shore temple, which is one of the twelve Adi Jyotirlinga shrines of Lord Shiva. The temple has been destroyed many times by Islamic kings and rulers, but was rebuilt later. You can visit other temples later in the evening, on your own. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day-4 Somnath – Porbandar – Dwarka

On the fourth day of your Ahmedabad travel package, get ready to visit Porbandar (110-km/ 3 hrs.), which is a striking coastal city, best known as the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi. Proceed for a city tour exploring Arya Kanya, Kirti Mandir, Gurukul, Bharat Smriti, and the Porbandar Beach. In the afternoon, leave for Dwarka (102-km /3 hrs). Dwarka is popular as the one of the seven most holy places for Hindus in India. Check-in at the hotel on arrival in Dwarka, and stay overnight there.

Day-5 Dwarka

After breakfast, get ready to explore the beautiful city of Dwarka, which holds utmost significance for Hindus. The city derives its name from ‘dvar’ which means door or gate in Sanskrit. It is also one of the famous Char Dham of India. Nageshwar Jyotirlinga, one of the 12 holy shrines of Lord Shiva, is also located in Dwarka. Visit the popular Jagat Mandir or Dwarakadheesh Mandir in the afternoon. The evening aarti draws lots of people to this temple. Another beautiful temple to be visited in the city is the temple of Devi Rukmani, which is located just 2km away from the Jagat Mandir. The Sharada Peeth, an important knowledge center established by Adi Jagat Guru Shankaracharya is also situated here.  Spend the evening as you desire and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day-6 Dwarka – Ahmedabad

Leave for Ahmedabad (456-km / 8-9 hrs), after breakfast. Upon arrival, check into the hotel and stay overnight.

Day-7 Depart Ahmedabad

On the last day of your Gujarat vacation tour, check-out of the hotel after breakfast, and leave for your onward journey.
